23-carat gold-infused cookies being sold at Selfridges

Selfridges Birmingham unveils an exclusive deluxe cookie with a decadent gold twist.

Monkey cookies released their new 23-carat gold cookie 3rd October 2017 and is the latest flavor to be stocked exclusively to Selfridges Birmingham and London.
Hand-made and decorated, the 23-carat gold cookie made with chocolate-chip cookie and is topped with Hershey’s chocolate, a gold sheet and sprinkled with gold flakes.
They can be bought individually or be included as part of a 15-cookie tin selection.
Monkey Cookies started in 2012, when Abdullah Al Ansari began baking in his kitchen in Kuwait. In just five years, the operation has grown and is now sold in more than 60 locations all over the Gulf and in Selfridges Birmingham and London. Monkey Cookies came to Selfridges Birmingham’s Food Hall earlier this year in April.
The director of Monkey Cookies, said:
“We’re very excited to be introducing our luxury gold-infused cookie exclusively in Selfridges Birmingham & London. Since we began stocking our cookies, we’ve already built up a loyal following and are looking forward to seeing people enjoying a bite of happiness with our latest innovation.”
Selfridges Birmingham General Manager Sam Watts said:

Between Tuesday and Friday, the store has sold 3, with high expectation more will be sold.
The remaining golden cookies are available for a limited time only.
